ABOUT RUby

Ruby is an actor and director from Venice Beach, California. Ruby was a shy kid that found her love of theatre at the age of seven in a production of The Nightmare Before Christmas. She grew up being raised as Persian, Jewish, and American.

Ruby recently graduated from UC Irvine where she spent her four years becoming a "jack-of-all-trades". There she performed, directed, stage managed, e-hung, produced, costume designed, set designed, and puppet designed. It is important for Ruby to continue learning about all aspects of the arts because she believes the understanding of what others do creates greater collaboration. She also co-founded and ran an all undergraduate independent theatre group called Metro Theatre Company designed to help students put theory into practice. Besides theatre, Ruby enjoys cooking, camping, puppetry, and teaching. Thanks for exploring her page :)
